Betwe... by: GrimmHunter   Weiss was looking out the window in her room watching the airship traffic and the hustle & bustle of Atlas below. This seemed to be her only entertainment sense her father brought her home after the fall of Beacon. Her thoughts centered around her life there, her teammates..friends.
Her father had come and taken her so quickly she didn't have a chance to say goodbye and had no way of contacting them or finding out if they were alright. She spent these lonely days hoping for the best and fearing the worst.
For all the fuss her father made about bringing her home, the most amount of time he had spent with her was the ride back on the airship. Even then little was said, not that Weiss would complain about that. The less time she has to spend with her father the better. Fortunately he was currently away from the Manor tending to the company. Which was thrown into a bit of a frenzy after Beacon.
Then a knock on her door had broken the silence.
Weiss: Come in.
Kline: Please excuse the intrusion Miss Schnee, but you have a visitor.
Weiss: Who would be...WINTER!
Weiss ran up and gave her sister a big hug, completely forgetting about the formalities she usually uses around her. Just as she realized what she did, Weiss had started to loosen her grip so she can step back and apologize. To her surprise, she was stopped by Winters own arms wrapping around her.
Winter: Weiss! Thank Oum you're alright!
Weiss: Winter?!
Winter: Ive been worried sick ever sense I saw the broadcast from Beacon! I'm so glad to see you safe!
Weiss was dumbstruck, she hadn't seen Winter without her stoic persona sense she left for Atlas Academy. Though this was out of the ordinary, it was welcomed and Weiss hugged Winter that much tighter.
Kline: Uhm, if you ladies will excuse me, I'll leave you two alone to catch up.
Both sisters let go and saw that Kline had set up tea for them.
Weiss: Hum, yes of course. Thank you Kline.
Kline: My pleasure miss and it was good to see you again Winter.
Winter: Likewise.
Kline leaves and Weiss & Winter sat down at the table.
Weiss: It's so good to see you Winter. How were you able to be here?!
Winter: Well, I was just so worried. I knew father had brought you home, so when I heard he was away I requested some personal leave from General Ironwood. He was gracious enough to grant it despite how busy we've been sense Beacon. I just had to see you for myself.
Weiss: I can’t tell you how much this means to me Winter, it hasn’t exactly been a picnic here.
Winter: Believe me, I’m aware. Kline keeps me updated when he can, of course I also have some personal experience to draw from.
Weiss: I know, I can barely stand it. I have no idea what happened to my friends or where they are right now. I’m kept in this room all day, it’s no different than a prison.
Winter reached out and grabbed Weiss hand.
Winter: I know it’s not easy, but I have an idea that might help. At least a little.
Weiss: What would that be?
Winter: Let’s play a game.
Weiss: What kind of game?
Winter: Truth or Dare.
Weiss was a bit stunned at the suggestion, Winter suggesting a game was odd enough. But for it to be Truth or Dare, that was especially odd.
Weiss: Really?! That’s so childish.
Winter: I’m aware, I remember playing it with classmates from my Academy days. Given everything that has happened, a bit of childish fun might be what we both need right now. So what do you say?
Weiss: Very well, would you like to start or shall I?  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
