"How's that new design coming, Ivy?" An aged woman with grayish-brown hair asked as she walked past a group of cubicles in an open office room.
"Almost there, Rosanna." The young dark-haired girl responded.
"Well get to it." Rosanna stated as she walked past her cubicle.
Rosanna was a 52-year-old woman whose prime was well past her but had a sassy businesswoman look to her. She was in her business formal black clothes of her company, as one of the deputy heads of her department, her job is different from Melissa's; her department is primarily responsible for the company's publicity and public relations.
Although the existence of magic in the universe is generally acceptable to the general public, most people remain skeptical, and the government has been setting up various bills to restrain people and companies that use magic indiscriminately; three years ago her company discovered human transformation magic in a remote cave ruin, it was attached to several ancient gold coins, later through more research, the company's research department made it possible for this magic to be inherited by some coin-shaped things made of a special material, but each coin had a limit on the number of uses depending on the level and price, the initial set of gold coins had been stored in secret, it was said that the government and the company had reached some kind of cooperation, so no one knew where they were. Now the company had a new additional business, promoting this magic coin that could be used as a disposable battery, so Rosanna's promotion department received the task first, and as deputy director, Rosanna's job was to make sure everyone was working at optimal speed and meeting her supervisor's requirements.
"Hey Rosanna, you know it would go a lot faster if you allowed us to do this design together." A middle-aged woman with red hair said.
"Well, then who would make sure you are actually working Daisy." Responded Rosanna.
Daisy grunted and turned back to her designing laptop to try and finish a design for a promotional poster. Daisy had always been jealous of Rosanna mainly because she wanted her job. Every time though she got turned down because Rosanna had seniority over her but she was next in line if something happened to her. She was a 38-year-old woman in a black skirt and button-up top with some curves still left on her thighs but gravity was not kind to her upper curves. She sat back and wondered what Ivy's design would look like. She looked around to see Rosanna at another employee's design at their cubicle and thought this was a perfect time to get a sneak peek. She walked over to Ivy's cubicle and slouched down right next to Ivy to hide across the rows of cubicles.
"So what's this new design about," Daisy asked.
"Ah!?" Ivy yelped and quickly threw her hands to cover the screen. "You aren't supposed to see this" Ivy tried to defend herself
"Oh, come on, I think we'll get the job done faster by working together don't we." Daisy pleaded, "Besides between you and me, my husband is getting a little stale in the bedroom so this might spice things up." She whispered seductively.
"Ew gross Daisy, I didn't need to know that." Ivy then gulped and anxiously looked around. "Fine, but don't tell anyone you saw this." Then Ivy lowered her hands to reveal a promotional poster depicting two women in lingerie conjoined side by side.
"Wowie" stated the black-haired woman. "Never mind my husband I might get me a girlfriend to get all those curves."
"Okay now leave me alone before you get us both in trouble."
"Fine, but if you need help, let me know, and do you want to see my draft?"
Ivy ignored her, so Daisy shrugged and sneaked back to her cubicle.
Speaking of Ivy, the 22-year-old young beauty sported a voluptuous figure but always did her best to cover it up. She had always liked drawing so the supervisor thought she would be a good fit for publicity design, Rosanna wasn't overly fond of her because after Daisy she had always assumed anyone good at her job was trying to take hers. In fact, Rosanna offered to do a new design, but her supervisor told her to let Ivy do it. She didn't like it, but she had to listen to her supervisor, but since she wasn't sure if Ivy could do the poster well, she eventually decided to give the task to two separate people; after all, Daisy had been working longer.
After Rosanna looked at all the cubicles and made sure everyone was where they needed to be and working she went to her desk and computer and saw a new email from her supervisor. "Come to my office and bring Daisy we need to have a meeting." She quickly assumed that Daisy was getting let go and chuckled back in her seat. She stood up and found Daisy on her phone with the design pulled up to pretend like she was working.
"Uh um, Mrs. Daisy?"
Daisy quickly slide her phone into her pocket and turned around to spot Rosanna.
"Oh, what do you want?"
"The supervisor has requested to see you," Rosanna said smugly.
"Finally my promotion."
"I doubt it, he called me as well."
"Well, they probably want you to be there so they don't have to tell you," Daisy stated back.
"Come on let's get this over with."
The two women then proceeded to their supervisor's office.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
