You are sent to a nearby high school

Yours is the last name to be announced from this week’s lunch lottery. Once the lottery is finished, one giant starts rounding up the tinies. “This batch have been paid for by the local high school. They’re being picked up within the hour!”

As if being selected in the weekly lunch lottery wasn’t bad enough, you are horrified to learn that you are destined to be sent to a high school. Rumours about what happens to tinies at schools are plentiful and they are far from comforting. Basically, it is said that tinies sent to schools are destined for either the cafeteria OR to be sent to the school science labs. Both outcomes fill you with dread.

The giants at the farm quickly round up the tinies selected by the lunch lottery and you find yourself in a box as part of a consignment of 100 terrified tinies. Your box is loaded into a delivery van and twenty minutes later, you arrive at the high school. The delivery driver hands over the box, containing you along with 99 other terrified tinies. You wonder, with growing dread, what fate lies ahead for you in this school. The box is opened and two giant faces peer inside, an older man dressed as a janitor (you would guess that he is in his fifties) and a stern looking middle aged woman.

“Are these all for the cafeteria, Mrs Anderson?”

“Most of them, but Miss Ramirez has requested 20 for her Biology class. Apparently she’s doing a digestive system experiment with her class.”

“Sure thing.” the janitor replies, starting to select 20 tinies for Miss Ramirez’s class.

“Oh, and feel free to take one for yourself, Tony. In fact, I’m feeling a little hungry myself. Pick out a nice one and send it over to my office, please?”

“Certainly, Mrs Anderson.”

Tony’s hand reaches in once more.
