"We're going to a cafe I know".
"A cafe?" said Dylan.
"Yeah, cakes, pies, pastries, hot chocolate, all kinds of stuff", said Flavius, "C'mon! You'll like it".
Flavius held out one of his manicured hands. "C'mon!"
Nervously, Dylan grasped at Flavius's hand, and Eric took his other hand.
In a blinding, golden flash, all three of them vanished, to appear on a street, across the road from a large and upscale-looking eatery. It had big, open windows on two sides, and long, marble counters inside, with display-cabinets full of food. The name was printed on the windows in huge, gold letters.
LE CAFE CRESPEAU".
"I've been here!" said Eric, "My grandmother brought me here on my birthday last year!...But Flavius this place is really expensive! I can't afford what they..."
"Who said you were paying?" said Flavius.
"Wh--yeah but I can't ask..."
"Sush! I'm paying. C'mon, it's my treat..."
"But Flav--"
"You want lunch, right? C'mon, move your ass!"
"Yeah but..."
"Your money means nothing to me, Eric, you know that. Besides...when you're literally made of gold..."
Flavius strode across the street, and the two boys hurried after him.
"Flavius wait!"
The two boys pushed their way into the cafe. Flavius was already checking out the rows of display-cabinets. A cute girl was staring at them.
"Well hi there!" she said. "Aww aren't you cute!?"
"Sure babe", said Flavius, "Uh...I'll have the custard tart and a hot chocolate..."
"I'll have a hot chocolate and...the chocolate pudding..." said Eric, "No! No I'll have the iced chocolate..."
"Actually me too", said Flavius.
"I'll have the custard tart, the chocolate pudding, the apple pie, the blueberry tart and the strawberry shortcake", said Dylan, "And an iced-chocolate, too".
"On a diet, huh fatty?" Flavius asked.
"Shut up!"
Flavius laughed, "I'm kiddin', dude...Flavius loves all boys..."
"Flavius?" said the girl behind the counter, "Wait! I know you..."
Flavius swept his hair back and smiled.
"I would hope that you do", he teased. He held out his card.
"Oh! No, I couldn't ask you to pay you-uh...sir..."
Flavius smiled, "You're real sweet, but I wouldn't wanna get you in trouble with nobody..."
He tapped his card and the reader beeped loudly.
"Sweet. This our number? Thanks..."
"I can't believe you just let Dylan buy four times what we're eating", said Eric.
"Why not? He's hungry! Besides, I don't care. I think fat kids are cute..."
Dylan BLUSHED madly, and they sat down around a table near one of the large front windows.
"This place looks so cool!" said Dylan.
Flavius nodded, "Yeah", he said.
