"Is it alright here?...Great!"
"You're on in three...two...one..."
"Welcome back to Channel 5 Afternoon News, and we take you now live to our reporter on the ground, Stacy Buchanan..."
"Hey Mel! Thank you! Yes! I'm live, standing here outside the Hill District Convention Center, where police have just taken into custody two gunmen who launched a terrorist shooting here at Comic-Con..."
The camera panned across to where a police-car was just pulling away.
"...We've got Captain Malford with us here, who took charge of the situation, Captain, a few words?"
"Yes! No, everything's settled down. We've combed the crime scene and cordoned it off, and we've re-opened the convention center for the comics convention. There were a few injuries, but no fatalties. Fortunately by the time we got here, the scene was already well under control..."
"How's that, Captain?"
The captain chuckled, "Let's say we had a bit of uh...divine intervention", he said, and smirked. "Flavius Aurelius was attending the convention with some friends, and he uh...handled...the situation for us while we were on the way here, no doubt saving many lives..."
"Thank you, Captain!"
Stacy kept talking as they headed inside.
"...The two gunmen pulled up in this white van, which is currently being examined by police...and entered through the main entrance here, before opening fire at random..."
The camera panned around.
"...and...Oh!"
Stacy spotted something in the distance - a figure dressed in white!
"Flavius!" she called out. "Flavius! Do you have anything to say to the local media!?"
There was a blinding flash of golden light, and seconds later, Flavius was standing next to Stacy, his cloak flapping and his golden hair shimmering in the sunlight near the building's entrance.
"Well hello there!" he said, smirking and combing back his hair.
"Flavius!...Your Majesty...Do you have anything to say to the folks back home about what happened here today?"
"Heh! Well hey there, Stacy...sure! Anything for you..."
She laughed!
"So - what were you DOING here?"
"Actually I showed up to give some support to a friend of mine who's a comic-book artist, and I was just givin' a little speech about stuff when those guys broke in..."
He pointed to the entrance nearby.
"...and hey...y'gotta do stuff, right? So I uh...kept 'em entertained for a bit while folks got out the back ways...then I sent them out the front when the cops showed up", he said.
He laughed.
"Actually it was a lot of fun", he said. "Haven't had a chance to show off in front of a crowd for a while now, so I uh...i kinda liked it..."
"Were you in any danger?"
"Danger!? Pffft! Nah...I mean I'm a bit bruised from the gunshots, but...nah..." he said, shrugging his broad shoulders casually. "I'm good", he assured her.
"Thank you, Flavius!"
"No problem!"
