The Goddesses War nearly destroyed everything. Humanity was wiped out and the earth was left uninhabitable, even the surviving Goddesses were only surviving off of borrowed time. So as a final attempt to set things right the Goddesses sacrificed themselves to return life to the world. At least that's how the legend goes. Humanity's recorded history only goes back about a 100 years to that story. Humanity is mostly the same as far as technology but now girls only make up about 0.5% of the population and every girl can absorb power any boy they want.
Due to this woman hold all the power and control while men only live to worship and serve women. Men have a certain amount of mental protection stopping girls from draining them to death but girls quickly discovered the attraction, and embarrassment was the easiest way to get past that. There are laws the men need to mature to 16 before they can be absorbed outright but other than that girls can do anything they want. Society funtions on three plains of existence there is the normal plain where girls normally stay in towns and communities much like the old planet existed. Men here are either servant or considered wild which means no laws exist to protect them
The men exist in the bug plain which are sparkled around towns for girls to access when they want. The bug plain is where men farm and go to school since the power girls receive gives them knowledge and allows them to not need to eat women can come and go when they want from the bug plain. Women can go to school and go to restaurants although that is just a social experience to most of them. If a woman likes a man or two they can make them servants in the normal plain with little say from the men's side.
The celestial plain is where the leaders live. The only thing keeping normal girls out is the amount of power needed to grow big enough.
