Knock or Wait

You feel yourself lose more size. You swear you can hear footsteps getting louder, but they dissipate. Meanwhile, the door mat's material is getting bigger, the front door is visibly expanding, and a nearby vase is becoming closer to building sized. Dang, you need to hurry up. You knock on the door, but nothing is happening.

Should you keep trying to knock or do you wait here?
