Daniel sighed in relief as he continued to run towards his car. "Harper! Thank god! Get over here quick! I need your help!" Daniel said between breaths.
Harper's voice sounded confused. "Happy birthday to me I guess, wait, why are you out of breath? What are you doing?"
Reaching his car, Daniel took a second to catch his breath. "Yea I'm sorry, happy birthday, but please hurry, you won't believe me over the phone. I just need you to come here please, I'm at my car."
Harper sounded more annoyed as she spoke, but Daniel could hear her shuffling and starting to walk, so he didn't mind it much. "You better have found an answer to world peace or be dying because not only are you late, but you are making me find you?"
"I know! I'm so sorry Harp, I'll make it up to you, but please! I do really need your help." Daniel waited patiently for a few moments until he finally saw his sister turn the corner and begin to walk towards his car. She was wearing a light blue denim jacket and a black t-shirt. Her reddish hair was freshly cut in her short fairy-kind-of style. Daniel couldn't count the number of smudges and holes in her jeans, and all the way from here he could see that her red Converse were scratched to shit.
"I see your car, but where are you?" Harper asked.
Please sis, don't give up on me... "This might sound weird, but look under the car please." Daniel said, biting his lip.
"Ugh, if this is some stupid birthday prank or whatever I am uninviting you to the party and you can explain that to the moms next year." Harper groaned as she got down on the ground and looked under the car. "What the fuck am I looking for Danny?"
Daniel was already moving towards her face, once again in a full sprint. "Please just... wait a second for me to..."
"What the fuck Daniel!?" Harper interrupted, hanging up the phone. Her hand shot forward quickly and grabbed him from off the ground, scooping him up and holding him in her palm as she stood up and leaned against the car.
Her eyes were wide in confusion, the look of shock on her face very apparent.
"Let me explai-" Daniel tried before being interrupted yet again.
"No need to explain yet, let me take you to the car really quick." Harper hurried over and opened the car door, finding the keys in the ignition.
Daniel called out from within her hand "Hey, where are we going to go?"
Harper closed the door and smiled down at her little big brother. "First off, I have got to figure out what my plan is for you..."
