It was late into the afternoon when Hanna was finally finished with her chores for the day. While her father and brother mainly took care of the humans and crops, she tended to the rest of the livestock. Just this morning she fed the pigs, sheered the sheep and collected eggs from the chickens. She was about ready to call it a day, when the family truck pulled up to the house with some fresh stock.
Robert and James had gone to the market to get more supplies, but they also had something they did not expect. A muscular human male of around seventeen lay in the back of the truck, his wrist and ankles tied and a metal mask covering his mouth.
Hanna approached the truck and saw the young man, who was struggling to free himself."Hey Pa, what's with him?" She asked. "He's a prime grade buck." Robert replied "Bought him off his former owner. Said he was going to use him to breed a whole line of primes, but gave up because he's too aggressive and violent. I'm betting if I can tame him, he'll be the perfect breeder."
Hanna looked at the buck, seeing rage in his eyes as he fought against his bonds. "Don't get too close." Said Robert "He's a biter. Hence the muzzle." Hanna had an idea "Dad, would it be okay if I break him in?" Robert looked surprised that she would ask such a thing. "Why?"
"Well, sooner or later I need some experience working with humans. Why not start with this one?" Robert hesitated. "I don't know...he's a pretty wild one from what I was told. You sure you can handle him?"
Hanna smirked "Oh, don't worry. I have my ways." Robert chuckled. She was starting to get more like her mother. "Alright, sweetie. He's your responsibility." They untied the buck and put a rope around his neck, leaving the muzzle on for now, before leading him to the barn. Robert ordered James to stay with Hanna incase she needed help.
