Chapter #3

Planting the seeds

Robert read the label of the bottle and saw he had just bought some type of plant seeds. Exactly what kind of plant, he couldn't really say, as it was some kind he had never heard of, and it went by some fancy Latin name he couldn't pronounce.

"Well, I paid for this stuff already, might as well see what grows from it."

Unbeknownst to Robert, he would come to regret that decision come the next morning. Strangely, the instructions said to plant the seeds all in the same place instead of spreading them out. Robert thought this was odd, but shrugged and did as the label said. He dug a hole in the center of the field and dumped the whole bottle in, before filling in the hole again and watering them.

That night, as the Wolfes lay sleeping, something was happening beneath the soil of their farm Come sunrise, everybody was suddenly awoken by what felt like and earthquake as the ground violently shook for several minutes as something burst out of the ground and into the air. Everyone ran outside to see what the commotion was, only to find...

1. An enormous tree with strange fruits growing on it

2. An gigantic weed, absorbing the moisture from the entire field

3. The field is full of huge flytrap-like plants that try to devour anyone that gets too close

4. An immense stalk that reaches all the way to the clouds

5. A practical jungle of enormous fruits and vegetables
