It wasn’t the worst place to be, wasn’t the best either. Despite their quite fearsome appearance (having fangs, claws, being over 50ft in height, and having bodies that bodybuilders can only dream about), they didn’t mean much harm. If you don’t want to mate, they won’t use physical force. However, they won’t let you go outside, can keep you from getting an education, or make you wash their less pleasant parts until you do. From what you hear, this is paradise compared to the other lands. For some reason, except for the centaurs and satyrs. Most of the animal-like giantess seem to treat men better than the rest. Men don’t really try to escape. When a man is summoned, right after they get all inked up. The Donni will bring out a man from a previous summoning. The man would usually be one who managed to escape or be rescued from one of the more aggressive giantesses. Hearing of the humiliation inflicted by the Tittains, and the abuse from the orcs and centaurs was more than enough to keep you from leaving. The men, after an interview and physical examinations, are then assigned to their wives. A Donni may request a specific man to be assigned to her and any other Donni, But this is usually only done with those who were rescued. Some may get more than one, some may just get one. While men didn’t really try to leave, doesn’t mean they always. Men who’ve gone missing are often found in the disgusting hands of the orcs. Harts weep when the centaurs raid a Donni village. A drowned Donni with her husband gone may fill both Donni and their men with rage. Yes, as a man getting educated here was difficult, to say the least, but it’s possible with the right woman. However, reading and writing are taught by a tutor of some sort. The wealthiest Donni have private tutors, but most men taught are by their wives or in-laws. You really aren’t allowed to own much outside of a few trinkets or art tools. You have no say in who you marry or the politics that goes on. There is also a faction called the Po-Pai. They’re reminiscent of those anime girls back home, and not because of other outfits they ware. While the Donni looked like animals, the Po-Pai only have ears and tails. You wouldn’t be surprised if they were once the same people. This is not to say the Donni are feral (at least not literary). They walk with human legs and feet. They have human arms and hands. They can talk like humans. They just looked like someone places the head of animals onto them, covered them in the same fur, or scale, (or skin for those like pachyderms), and gave them a tail to match. Some like dogs, cats, and rabbits have padded, toes, fingers, palms, fingers. Currently, there’s a small rift in the faction. The “Lokar” they’re called. While they still have no malice towards men, they see men as less equal than the rest. Believing men are better as pets, to be loved and cared for, but not seen as people. Many leave with their husbands and are never heard from again. Some reside with Menyes, a mysterious group of women to the far north. The only thing most know about them is that they’re the biggest around. Even bigger than the Donni.
