A strange book - beginning (1/2)

It seemed like a great idea at first.

I saved money for the entire semester, and as soon as classes were over, I rented an apartment in a small town near campus. It would be perfect, I thought—a bus ride away from the city, with a few friends, with months of opportunity ahead.
Truth be told, I didn't have such a large group of friends to ask to get started.


Well I wasn't exactly a social outcast, but I was passionate about anime and stuff like that, my group of friends were people who loved certain literature, tv shows and even gaming.

Don't get me wrong though I like that sort of thing I was definitely not an otaku, of course I attended a few comic cons meetups and I have a certain healthy knowledge of entertainment and pop culture, but I was an average person and just like anyone else in my life generation that grew up watching justice league cartoons and reading Captain America comics i had a certain passion for fiction, animation and art.

In fact, it was on one of these trips that I found my love....
