Now the thing about the Imperium is that it is a truly gargantuan Empire. A galactic empire that spans a million worlds with trillions of noble and dutiful citizens! And as such the brave people that defends this mighty behemoth are as varied as there are many!
From the indomitable ranks of the Imperial guard to the holy Adeptus Soritas and even the Red Priestesses of Mars itself.
And of course who can forget the oh so important Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes!
Astra Militarum: The Ranks of the Imperial Guard are legion, uncountable soldiers in a titanic regime. Men, women, feudal worlder, feral worlder, civilized worlders, the Imperial Guard recruits and arms from all corners of the Imperium’s planets. The regiments don’t always conform to the same structure so you have a lot of variety to play around with, whether it be noble lineages fighting alongside dirty barbarians or daredevil pranksters alongside strict and no nonsense professional guardsmen.
Adeptus Soritas: The Battle Sisters have numerous different Orders, all fanatic and loyal to the God-Empress and Her Imperium! Which might lead to interesting beliefs and different ways of worshipping. They’re an all women organization and as such have a rather healthy appreciation of either lesbians…or femdom!
Adeptus Mechanicus: The Tech-Priestesses of Mars are an interesting organization, bookish, skittish, and oh so nerdy and eager for knowledge yet also painfully obtuse and superstitious. They’re painfully abrasive and are often considered snobbish intellectuals even though they more often then not worship rather then learn from technology.
Adeptus Astartes: The Noble Champions of humanity, the Space Marines! They would undoubtedly be the top dogs in the Imperium, but are we sure they aren't just bigger dorks then even the average human?
Of course the Imperium has a great deal many other forces at hand as well!
