Rouge found herself once again awakening in an unfamiliar location. But this time...she looked around in disbelief. A different kind of disbelief.
She awoke to find herself lying on a beautiful, silken white bed in a golden room with royal blue and green tinged tiles. She was surrounded by beautiful vases, a flowing water feature, and ornate tapestries and wall art she couldn't even begin to start fully comprehending. And while the room itself seemed to scream decadence, it was nothing compared to the view.
From her bed, she peered through the softly billowing silk curtains and out onto the view before her. Directly in front of her was the largest waterfall she had ever seen. The falls formed a crescent moon shape, directly in the line of sight of her window and balcony. She couldn't believe her eyes. The waterfall must have been miles long and miles deep, like nothing she had ever seen in her life, and yet, she was so far above that the deafening roar of the falls was but a quiet low hum by the time it reached the balcony. The mist from the falls rose up and, by the time it reached her room, formed a warm, gently refreshing breeze on her face, almost as if this place had been specifically designed for such things.
"O...kay. I could get used to this..." Rouge thought to herself, fully wondering if last night was just a dream, when her thought was interrupted by the realization that she was being looked at by several pairs of eyes.
"My dear, are you awake?" A soft and gentle voice spoke.
"WAH!" Rouge screamed and scooted quickly to the back of the bed, clutching the linens up to her neck.
"Oh my goodness, there is no need to be alarmed! I am sorry to have startled you. Please, let me introduce myself. My name is Ragus, elder priest of this Echidna tribe." Indeed, as Rouge looked in the direction of the soft-spoken voice, she saw an elderly Echidna male wearing a long, flowing cloak and outfitted with necklaces and jewelry that certainly seemed to be befitting a priest. At his side were two young, shapely and…slightly pudgy, Rouge thought, Echidna maidens, dressed in skirts and tube tops with see through, gem emblazoned masks covering the bottom half of their faces.
"P-priest?! What on Mobius are you talking about?? How did I get here?! W-wait. You speak English??" You need to let me go immediately!" Rouge exclaimed.
"I know you must have so many questions. But when we found you, you were not well. Our soldiers report that you had an injury to both your head and your wings, and we knew we had to take you in. Your answers will come, but please. Ah, but where are my manners? My name is Ragus. Come, won't you? And join us for breakfast. You need to take care of yourself to ensure your full recovery mistress....?"
There was something about Ragus that made Rouge feel disarmed. Maybe it was his soft voice, his gentle smile, or maybe just something about the sheer beauty of the location in which she found herself, but Rouge found herself suddenly willing to indulge his request for her name.
"Uh, Rouge. My name is Rouge." She replied. "And....I am rather hungry." It occurred to her that it must've been days since she last had something to eat. Her tummy growled as if in agreement with this realization.
"Well then. Let us not keep you waiting any longer. Here, my sisters have prepared for you new clothes. Once you have dressed, please join the rest of us in the dining hall when you are ready." And with that, he took his leave.
The sisters bowed before her and produced a white skirt and tube top both laced with golden ornaments lining the top of each piece of garment. Rouge looked down at herself and saw how much her own clothing and been reduced to tatters in the crash. The two maidens gestured to a small chamber for privacy around the side of the room. Once Rouge entered, she found this adjacent space to be a washing room of sorts, with yet more gold. A golden pool filled the center of the room with water flowing like the falls outside. Not knowing what to make of it, Rouge hurriedly got changed into her new attire.
She stripped in her newfound chambers, sliding her old thieving attire down across her feet as she bent over to remove them, her hourglass silhouetted against the morning sun in front of the view of the waterfall. She almost felt a pang of shame as she changed in front of such a view, but she was so far up there was no way anyone else could see. In fact, with this realization, she found it kind of…indulgent.
She finished with the skirt, wiggling it up over her curves side by side as she pulled it over her thighs. The tube top dropped down over her arms to cover her chest except…it was tight. They had underestimated the size of her bust, likely due to her thieving outfit concealing a great deal. Now free, her breasts fit snugly into the top, overflowing at the opening just a little bit, and certainly enough to bounce freely with each of her movements.
Once she emerged fully dressed, the maidens gently took her in each arm and she was led down a hallway that was just as decadent as the room she awoke to find herself. She couldn't believe this place. A city made of gold, lapis lazuli and jade. There were precious stones everywhere. Rouge started to drool at the mouth, and not just from hunger.
As she entered the massive dining hall, she was taken aback by just how massive it was. Almost like a gigantic indoor stadium and no less decadent than any of the rest of this place. She found herself once again greeted by Ragus. "Please, sit, sit! Make yourself comfortable." He gestured to an open spot front and center of the grand dining hall, a location that looked out over a practical fleet of Echidna that looked just like the ones that rescued her the night before.
"Uh, sure...I mean, I don't have to sit right at the head of the table you know...I'm happy to sit wherever..."
"Nonsense!" Ragus interjected. "You are our guest of honour. Please, we insist." He said with a deep smile as he pulled the chair back for her and bowed.
"Whatever." Rouge thought to herself. She was far too hungry to be concerned with much else at the moment. As soon as she took her seat, small doors burst open from the far sides of the room and in marched a procession of Echidnas carrying plate after silver plate of food. It was again unlike anything she had ever seen. Several roasted pigs. Sausages. Bacon. Eggs. Chicken. Pancakes. The food was stacked high in front of herself as well as the army of Echidnas seated at the incredibly long tables in front of her.
"Oh...my god. I. Wow. This can't be all for m-me...can it??" Rouge said between mouthfuls of drool. She once again underestimated exactly how hungry she was.
The army of chefs sat plate after plate down in front of her as well as everyone else. “Please, help yourse-“ Ragus was interrupted, noticing that Rouge had already begun without his invitation. He could hardly stop himself from grinning.
Rouge ate plate after plate unthinking. She was famished. As soon as one plate disappeared, a chef servant would bring another. Grabbing morsel after morsel without even stopping long enough to think about what she was eating. Sausages, bacon, pancakes, pork and a mysterious kind of fruit she had never eaten before but was sweeter than any kind of fruit she had ever tasted. It all passed by her lips and down into her stomach. Had Rouge had enough patience to look up from her meal for even a second, she would have seen the entire room watching her eat. Sure there was food for the rest of the Echidnas, but they received nowhere near the amount of attention she was getting.
*BOOOOUUUURRRRRPP*
Rouge let loose an earth-shattering burp the likes of which she had never uttered before. The food was so good, she was licking her massive plate, which she unceremoniously dropped onto the table with a loud CLANG! Her mind was a blank slate of post-devouring pleasure. Her eyes rolled back into her head as she leaned back in her chair, hands clasped around her taught, protruding belly.
“Ragus, you simply mu-BOOOUURPP**uust tell me how you all make this food so delicious! And that fruit, it’s like nothing I’ve ever tasted before!”
“Of course Rouge. Did I not tell you that all would be answered in time? I am a man of my word, and all will be revealed soon-“ Ragus was cut off yet again by a thunderous snoring sound. Rouge had eaten so much that she had fallen right back to sleep, hand sitting atop her taught belly.
