Chapter #6

Yes, but maybe another occasion

A "Completely Normal" Party

"Ugh..." Zoe groaned, noticeably nervous as her husband put the car in park. "Should we leave real quick, get a more expensive bottle?"

"So you can stall some more?" Chris teased, drifting his hand down to his wife's thigh. "Never takes you an hour to find a dress, and you know it."

"I just..."

"Why are you so nervous, love?" Chris asked, starting to get genuinely concerned about what was going through his wife's head. "Not to encourage backing down, but... your mum isn't expecting us to pick up Arissia until noon tomorrow anyway. And we've got those reward points saved up. Honeymoon suite isn't off-limits..."

"I'll hold you to that. Next time mum's free." Zoe whispered, her nervous face finally breaking out into a slight smile. "Just uh... these parties can get a bit... wild."

"I'll drive us home, don't worry about-"

"Not what I'm talking about. Just uh... look, it's the first one of these I've been too since... remember our big fight waaaaaaay back?" Zoe asked, waiting with baited breath for Chris to nod. "And how I stumbled home and..."

"Yeah. I could barely walk that whole weekend. But, you know... got that stress out from losing your salon and... God, you were pretty pent-up, right?" Chris chuckled, his cock stirring at the memory of the night-long "apology" Zoe had given him.

"Yeah, well... let's just get inside." Zoe sighed, gulping as she gripped the frankly cheap bottle of wine she'd brought and stepped out of the car. It wasn't like Liz would mind, but Zoe couldn't help but feel a bit shitty for not shelling out for a more expensive bottle. That... and how previous parties tended to go...

Chris, completely ignorant of what was about to transpire, followed behind Zoe, his mind racing for an explanation for why she was so nervous. Did they seriously drink that heavily or something? Maybe drugs were involved? Chris doubted that, refusing to believe that Liz would do anything harder than marijuana, let alone allow the use of such things under her roof.

"Zoe!" Liz chirped, swinging open the door just before Zoe had a chance to even knock. "Oooooh... I didn't think Chris would come..."

"Yeah, well... should be better than when you had Eric come to one of these." Zoe grunted, thrusting the bottle into Liz's hand. "Who all came?"

"Well, you two. Carly and Andrea." Liz answered, slyly checking out Chris as she let the two newest arrivals inside her house. "Becca and her sister, believe it or not!"

"You're joking!" Zoe whispered, her eyes wide. "After last time?!"

"I know, right?!" Liz giggled back, strangely... giddy, if Chris had to apply a word to it. "Jordan too, but..."

"But I was invited too, along with my dear darling fiance?" A voice shouted from the kitchen, getting an eye roll from Liz. "Pro tip: be less loud 'mum', we can all hear you!"

"God, Reece?" Zoe groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Lemme guess, that means-"

"Yeah. Lock your doors." A voice grunted from behind, making nearly everyone present snap around to look at the front door. "What? I was invited."

"A-And I'm her plus one! And... her plus two!" A voice stammered, stepping in behind the source of the first voice. "Elizabeth... are you sure?"

"Yeah, it's like peace talks. Just go along with it, Jade." Elizabeth answered with a shrug. "You too, Jake. It's just a party."

"Kinky bitch." Zoe muttered under her breath, something that only Chris managed to catch. He had to wonder what his wife meant by that, let alone how Zoe knew. Maybe these parties got... a bit "exploratory" or something? Chris couldn't help but get a bit excited at that thought...

"Is this everyone?" Elizabeth asked, handing Liz a bottle of wine. "Or are we not the last ones to arrive?"

"You should be the last ones." Liz sighed. "You, Jade and her husband, Chris and Zoe, Carly, Andrea, Becca, Victoria, Reece, his fiancé Paige, and Jordan. And myself. Or have you invited anyone else?"

"Nope." Elizabeth answered, leaning in close. "If I get Reece, you know what's gonna happen." She whispered, making Liz shudder at that thought.

"Geez, you could cut the tension with a knife out here!" Carly joked as she walked over, several red plastic cups in her hands, balanced relatively precariously. Without any hesitation, Elizabeth and Zoe grabbed a cup each, downing their contents in a single gulp. "You three have some too! Jade, it's not alcohol, so don't worry!" Carly chirped, passing a cup each to Chris, Jade, and Jake.

The three, completely unaware of what these parties truly were, exchanged a nervous glance. Unlike Becca, Carly, Andrea, Liz, and Elizabeth, they had no idea what was going to happen. But, deciding to go with the flow, swallowed down the cups' contents. Reece, Paige, Jordan, and Victoria couldn't help but snicker at the three's faces, namely the look of shock as... it really tasted like nothing. As if, somehow, the loosely carbonated beverage managed to taste like the absence of flavor...

"I know, right?" Zoe asked as Chris shot her a confused look. "Trust me, it's better than the 'liquid skunk' it was the first time Carly brewed it."

"Yeah. Tastelessness is much better than that." Liz sighed, suppressing a gag at the memory of that particular flavor. "So... Elizabeth. What game are we thinking of in that head of yours?"

"Beer pong." Elizabeth answered, sighing at the gasp from Jade behind her. "Without beer in your case, Jade. Obviously."

"We'll have to do teams in that case. Spin the bottle would be better." Zoe grumbled, crossing her arms. "Plus, that's pure chance."

"You're just saying that because someone dominates at beer pong!" Carly giggled as a smug grin formed on Elizabeth's mouth. "Let's do a little vote, democracy and all that!"

Thus... the group gathered around, debating on which game to play. Of course, the first-timers (Chris, Jade, Jake, Jordan, Reece, Paige and Victoria) were clueless about what the whole thing meant. To them, it was just a party where... drinking games or something were about to be played. To the others (Zoe, Carly, Andrea, Elizabeth, Liz, and Becca), it was far more important. After all, the game was how who was to be possessed by who would be determined...
