Red Hood checked the rest of the rooftop. No one. This wasn't some elaborate trap. Whatever was going on with that object was supernatural.
Jason inched towards it, weapons drawn. He didn't exactly have a plan other than to shoot it if it moved. He wasn't exactly the brains in the bat-family.
The device continued to ominously glow. He snatched it off the ground and the light vanished.
"That was it?"
Jason inspected the dial, finding a note on the back.
"Numbers, huh?"
Red Hood flipped it over and began to dial what was listed on the note.
"Yeah, yeah. Shut up, Eye. I know what I'm doing."
It was just a harmless rotary dial, right?
"8-4-5-5-2-4-6."
As soon as he dialed the last digit, the crimson aura shined brighter than ever before. The light engulfed his whole body. He was partially blinded. The magic altered his physical form in an instant. His DNA was rewritten. His body altered to the point in which he was unrecognizable from his old self. The fibers that made up his costume split apart and put back together again.
