Tiny Friend

"I'm not sure that would be safe" I protest, "we don't know what side effects there might be."

"Oh come on, where is your sense of adventure," Jake says enthusiastically. He takes the shrink ray out of my hand and fires it at himself before I can stop him. Jake gives me the remote back and does two thumbs up as he begins to shrink. I watch as he gets smaller and smaller; first chest hight, then at my knees, and then so small that my shoes are taller than him.

Once he stops shrinking, I bend down and grab his tiny body. Jake is now a little bit smaller than a Lego Minifigure. I place him in the palm of my hand and bring him upto eye level. "Dude, how do you feel?"

"Amazing, this is so cool," responds Jake.

"So, what do you want to do now?" I ask.

"Well, I was thinking...
