Chapter #2

ESL Teacher

    by: yt1989 Author IconMail Icon
So you’ve freshly graduated and have decided to pack up your bags and embrace a new adventure as an English teacher living in a foreign country! You are destined to go somewhere where the locals will not be very fluent but there will be plenty of job opportunities in kindergartens, schools, universities and adult language centers. Life has always been tough at your size, constantly treated like a baby by everyone around you, at least getting out into the world will finally make you independent. Your friends and family are worried that your short size will make things dangerous but you are willing to accept the risk if you can settle into a culture that respects you.

You are also a bit arrogant, you know you are smart and you feel smug coming from a wealthy, western and English speaking country. You expect the locals of where ever you are going will be impressed just to meet someone like you and will probably assume you are much wealthier than you really are. You are not expecting to be treated like a child though by these people you see yourself as better than. This is especially dangerous when you’re going to be surrounded by people who don’t speak your language!

So where will you go?

East Asia
Super highly developed country with a lot of modern and futuristic technology. The women and girls here are petite but still tower over you and will be obsessed with anything cute.

Europe or Latin America
Find yourself in a traditional European or South American country, where family is the most important thing.

Africa
You’ll be going to a poor country with not a lot of development. You may even find yourself teaching in a rural area where life is simple and without many home comforts.

South East Asia
Also lacking many comforts or developed infrastructure, South East Asian women will still be obsessed with anything cute but life will be rougher and simpler here.

Somewhere else?
