Swapped with Gary

Jake came to, dazed, and found himself lying on the floor, staring at a pair of feet. He felt strange and wondered what had happened. He realized he was naked, although he felt something around his neck. He shook his head and sat up. As he tilted his head up, still a little dazed, to see who was sitting on the couch in front of him, he froze in shock at the sight of a fully clothed pit bull looking down at him.

"It couldn't be." Jake thought as he grasped what was going on. It looked like Gary.

"Hi there Jake. Aw, you look so cute like that." Gary teased.

"He talked?" Jake thought, bewildered.

"Want a chip? Oh wait, pets can't have any." Gary chuckled. Jake started to get angry at being tormented and tried to shout back. But unfortunately, his words only came out as barks. He growled while Gary was still chuckling.

"Come on, haven't you figured it out yet?" Gary asked before getting up and walking away on two legs, leaving Jake stunned. "Fine, I'll show you." Jake kept his eyes on him while he seemed to grab something. He walked up to Jake and grabbed his collar before Jake could react. He attached a leash to Jake's collar as Jake struggled to free himself. "Come on, let's see what your new life will be like," he said as he pulled on the leash.

Jake had no choice but to follow Gary as he was choked, eventually being led out the front door. On the bright side, someone would probably spot him outside and save him from this bizarre predicament. They walked down the driveway to the sidewalk before starting their walk. Jake looked for help, but no one was outside. People were probably still at work, he reasoned.

Jake reluctantly followed Gary on the walk. It was humiliating and degrading. Finally, while he was busy sulking, he heard a car door slam. His head shot up, and he turned excitedly toward the noise, thinking he was finally saved. But to his surprise, it wasn't a person but a fully dressed Corgi. He was frozen in shock until Gary tugged on his leash to get him to move on.

"Come on!" Gary commanded as Jake walked mindlessly, still trying to comprehend what he had just seen. A few houses down, while Jake was still mindlessly thinking, a loud barking startled him. He turned to see someone running towards him. He turned his head out of instinct, thinking he was about to be attacked, but when he looked again, the boy seemed to be held back. He observed the boy, who was naked like himself, who appeared to be tied to a post.

Gary pulled again to get Jake to walk. Jake walked on, finally putting together the pieces of what was going on. Had he entered some strange world where dogs were in charge and humans were just their pets? "No, that can't be," he insisted. But his suspicion was soon confirmed when he saw a little girl being walked by a golden retriever up ahead. As they approached, Jake began to study the girl's face. Instead of looking scared, she looked happy. She had her tongue hanging out of her mouth like a dog. It made Jake sick.

When they met up, Jake remained focused on the girl. She didn't pay much attention to Jake, though, and instead looked right up at Gary while panting. She tried to jump up on him but was quickly restrained by the golden retriever.

"Bad girl! No jumpys!" the golden retriever scolded. "Come on, Bella," she said, tugging on the leash. Then they walked away while Gary and Jake continued the other way.

"Poor girl." Jake pitied. He didn't want to live in a humiliating world like this.

Finally, after what seemed like forever, he saw his house. Gary led him inside, where Jake was relieved to be out of the public. Then Gary unhooked his collar while Jake began to growl.

"I'm guessing you figured it out." he chuckled. "Don't worry, you'll see the world is better with dogs in charge. Didn't you see how happy that girl was?" Jake barked in response, feeling sorry for the girl. He refused to believe that she was actually happy. He continued to growl. "Feisty, aren't we? You know, if you bite me,you'll get put down little guy."

Jake stopped growling to understand what Gary had just said. "Yep, didn't you know? Any human who bites a dog gets euthanized. So I wouldn't if I were you." he mocked. Jake calmed down a bit, but deep inside, he was still very angry.

"That's a good boy. Now why don't you go be a good little human and play." Gary continued taunting as he walked away to pick up something from the floor, a chew toy that squeaked. Jake still looked angry and didn't take Gary's comment too well. But as soon as Gary squeezed the toy, Jake's mind instinctively reacted. He ran to Gary and tried to jump up to grab the toy he was holding. "Do you want it? Huh? Do you want the toy boy?" he teased in a high-pitched tone. Then he threw it across the room, and Jake ran, not realizing how distracted he was. He picked it up with his mouth and began to play with it aggressively.

Meanwhile, Gary enjoyed watching his new pet. He decided that with Jake occupied, he'd have some time to himself. He left the room while Jake played.
