Josh followed Jenn inside the cafe, completely forgetting that he still had the box in his hand. As they neared the counter, they could see one of their favorite baristas was working that day. But it seems that she was done with the day and had a sullen attitude. "Hey Zoe, long day?" Jenn inquired as they both gave her their order.
Letting a long drawn out sigh, Zoe repeated their order back to the both of them. "So I've got a Pumpkin Spice Latte and a Peppermint Mocha Latte?" Zoe repeated back to them, the both of them nodded their head. "Great it will be $18.28." She replied with a slight grimace as she absently grabbed her side. She then looked back up at them giving them both a forced smile. "Sorry. Well Reggie called in sick again and lets put it this way. I'm not pregnant." They both gave her an apology. Josh went to pay for their drinks and set the box down on the counter right next to the card reader. Going into his back pocket he grabbed his card and put it into the card reader.
When the tip screen appeared, he made sure to give her an additional 25% to make up for her having to work extra and in pain. However as he was about to put his wallet back into his pocket, he accidentally pushed the box off of the counter. "Well crap." He sighed as he bent down to pick up the box and noticed that the inside had an old, worn figure with several deep cracks, from what seemed like age, running up the sides. The figure seemed to be of a well endowed curvy woman, but as Josh moved the box to get a better look at it, instead of a normal flat crotch however there was a raging boner. Picking up the top of the box, Josh failed to see the small pin that was holding the note that was on the inside of the lid in place. Even worse, it seems was that when he dropped the box, it had dislodged the pin and allowed it to accidentally pierce through his skin causing his finger to bleed. "Venus of Willendorf, fertility idol found in 1908 near Willendorf, a village in Lower Austria." He read out loud. "Wow, look at this."
Josh pulled out the fertility idol out of the box and the cotton keeping it from moving around within the box, but as soon as he touched it with his injured finger, he felt a small tingle at the tip of his finger. The scene soon shifted to what looked like a dark, dank cave. There was a constant dripping sound with a small flicker of light just ahead of where Josh was standing. Putting his hands out in front of him, to make sure that he didn't run into or off a cliff. With each step he took, the flicker of light grew brighter and brighter until he was able to see a small campfire. Looking around the area, he could see depictions of horses, different scenes of battles and carnage, and some other animals dotted the walls. The paint didn't seem dull or cracked in any way, but it was almost as if they were painted only a few days earlier. "Finally here I see." He heard a raspy voice call out from the darkness. He watched as a old man hunched over with old age walking with a long staff that was carved with various carvings of animals and different trees, but also had different colored feathers tied to it with long strands of leather. "I don't have much time. Come come." He motioned for Josh to come over towards the fire, where he could see 2 small logs sitting right next to each other and the flickering flames seem to be growing dimmer causing the walls of the cavern to start to creep closer.
"I'm sorry, but do you know where I am?" Josh wondered as he looked down at his hands only to see that the idol was still there, but the cracks seemed to be even deeper, almost as if it was about to disintegrate within his hands at any moment. He made his way over to the fire to sit next to the old man, who seemed to have instantly teleported over to his seat and was trying his best to stoke the fire to keep it from going out. Wanting some information, Josh did as he was told and sat next to the older man.
As he sat the fire seemed to come back to life, if ever so slightly and the old man sighed with relief knowing that he had enough time. "I've been waiting for you for many years." He said, but caused him become out of breath and to cough loudly. "Many years and now my time is near an end." He motioned over to the fire that he was just stoked, but it seemed to be even duller but the bright coals tried their best to continue to burn. "This fire is my life force and before it goes out I need you to accept the gift of the goddess."
"I don't know whats going on." Josh confided with the older man. "And a gift isn't really necessary." He brought his hands up to help emphasize the point. Looking over at the old man, he could see him a little better thanks to the fire light, even if it was a low light. His old, weathered face had a perfect pair of pouty lips that seemed to be more at home on a young woman. Looking at his hands, Josh noticed that they were slender and his arms didn't have any hair. However, the leather hood that was on his head fell backwards showing his long wavy red hair. "Wait, whats going on here." He asked as he started to get up, but was stopped by the man's odd hands grabbing his arm. The fire flickered even more aggressively as he attempted to get up.
The old man's coughing became even more constant and as he did, the fire started to dim. He took a moment to catch his breath before he was able to go on. "For many years, I've provided light to help guide the lost, act as a rock for those needing shelter, and as a star needing guidance. But my time is near an end and I need you to accept the gift so that I can move on. This gift will help give you an insight on how others live and will also help guide you for a better path in life." He stopped for a moment and stoked the fire once more.
Josh still didn't know what exactly was going on or what this older man was talking about. He looked around a little more to see if there was a way out. Just off to the corner, he could see an old hut type structure made out of animal skins and rope keeping it in place. The flap was left open to help air it out and even more animal pelts were on the ground to help aid in sleeping. "So how can I get out of here." He wondered out loud to himself as he continued to look around. There wasn't a sign of light coming from anywhere else to help in showing a way out.
He stopped his search when he a wheezy laugh coming from where the old man was sitting. "The way out is within your grasp. Free the Goddess by throwing the idol in your hand into the embers, you will accept the gift and free her of her prison. In doing this, you will go back to where you were. That has been the way and will always be the way." The idol on his hands started to pulse with the flicker of the fire. Almost requesting to be thrown into the embers.
Thinking of Jenn and his family, the time that he loves to spend with them, and wanting to get back to him, Josh felt the idol starting to heat up almost as if it was already in the embers soaking in the heat. "Here." He tossed the idol into the fire, much like felt that it wanted to bathe in the fire. As soon as idol hit the embers, it almost immediately exploded into a cloud of pink, blue, and purple hues.
The smoke seemed to swirl around the both of them until it coalesced into a solid form. The curvy body complete with large bust and hips, towered over Josh by a few feet. It reminded him of his mom towering over him and his sibling when they were younger. The smell of flowers and fresh air seemed to emanate off of her. But all of her femininity was thrown to the side as the smoke continued to coalesce between her legs where a mature penis lay limply between her legs. "You have finally freed me from my prison." Her deep masculine voice said to him. Josh glanced over to the man, but found that he'd disappeared and the hut like structure was gone too. "Please accept the gift that I'm about to bestow upon you." Her voice changed dramatically into a sing song like voice, causing him to become entranced with her. "You will be able to transfer traits between yo and another individual simply by accepting it."
Looking at her with a look of wonder and trying to understand what she was trying to tell him. "So I can get a trait from anyone I want?" He thought how he could stop studying and just coast through school or even build the perfect body for himself and Jenn.
The Goddess giggled. Her long smoky hair just seemed to float in the air and small wisps of smoke would slowly float above her head. "Well only if they or you offer to trade it. Then both of you must accept the change. This will allow the gift to come forth, but nobody but those involved or if you want to show them will they notice anything." She seemed to look at the small fire and notice that there was more smoke than fire at this point. "Sorry, but I must send you back. Thank you for freeing me and accept this gift." She brought her hands together, almost like a high diver getting ready to dive and leapt into the air. As she came down, a screen of smoke enveloped him causing him to close his eyes.
"Are you okay?" Jenn asked looking over at Josh with a look of concern etched on her face. He looked around to see that he was back in the cafe, back with his girlfriend, and out of that cavern.
