Looking around the quad brought on a feeling of intense nostalgia for you, it had been a while since you had been to Weston, and being back now brought on a lot of good… and also a lot of bad memories.
You hadn’t come back to reminisce though, you reminded yourself. You were here after you had received an unexpected email from one of Juli’s professors.
Realising that you hadn’t memorised the professor’s name, you pulled out your appropriately sized phone once again and navigated to the email app.
“Alright, let’s see here…” You muttered to yourself as you navigated to the email that had been sent to both yourself, Mari and Juli. “Professor… Larsen, and what was it she wanted to discuss?”
Scrolling downward, you reread the email in its entirety.
Hi Mr and Mrs Jacobs
This is Professor Larsen, Juli’s primary lecturer and convenor of the Social Media Management course here at Weston.
I am contacting you to request an urgent meeting with one of you. It is imperative that you schedule this meeting as soon as possible, as what I aim to discuss could have significant impacts on Juli’s remaining time at this university.
I hope to hear from you soon,
Astrid Larsen
Reading the email had caused both you and Mari significant concern last night, and you had both agreed that one of you should meet with Professor Larsen as soon as possible. Especially after Juli didn’t shed any light on the situation when questioned. While Mari had bought Juli saying that she had no idea what was going on that would prompt Professor Larsen’s meeting request without question, you had your doubts. You were often of the opinion that Juli was very guilty of prioritising her social media presence over her college work, so you wouldn’t be surprised if you walked into this meeting to be told exactly that.
Ensuring that you weren’t about to be trampled under the foot of any passing students, you began the trek towards Professor Larsen’s office…

“Thank you for responding to my request for a meeting so quickly, Mr Jacobs.”
“No problem, Mari and I both figured that if there was a problem involving Juli, then we should have a chat about it as soon as possible,” you responded, attempting to avert your gaze from the two large… distractions levelled right in front of your face.
You found yourself standing on the desk of the very woman you had come here to meet, Professor Astrid Larsen.
The gargantuan academic’s piercing blue eyes and long, pleated golden hair betrayed her Scandinavian heritage, as did her pale skin, vast swathes of which were on full display by the low cut blouse she was wearing. The flowing red fabric fully covered her arms, which were propped up with her elbows on the table, hands interlocked and placed under her chin as she leaned forward. Leaning forward like she was, the plunging neckline of her blouse levelled the vast chasm of her bountiful cleavage at your eye level, and you really struggled to maintain eye contact with her because of it.
Tearing you eyes away, you focused on her face.
You only had eyes for Mari, of course, but it was a little difficult to not get distracted when such a sight was shoved so close to your face like this.
Below the desk, you had noted when you entered that she wore a pair of navy blue jeans that hugged her long, slender legs tightly and a pair of open-toed black heels, which needlessly added an additional two inches to her already imposing height of six feet and three inches. Completing the look was a thin silver anklet draped around her left ankle, and a silver toe ring wrapped around the second toe of her left foot.
From what you had been told by Juli, Professor Larsen had been teaching at Weston for the last three years, and this was her first job after completing her PHD in Social Media and Marketing at the University of Oslo. You hadn’t been able to find out what the twenty-nine year old professor’s treatment of tinies was like, since Juli had just shrugged when you teased around the question. Your daughter had clearly never taken notice of how Astrid treated her affected students.
“S-so…” you stammered as you felt your mouth become incredibly dry all of a sudden. “What seems to be the problem?”
“All in due time, we are just waiting for our meeting’s other attendee,” Astrid smiled, her words silencing that angle of conversation for now. A few moments passed and the professor’s eyes lit up as they glanced towards the fort to her office. “Ah, speaking of…”
You turned towards the door, taken off guard by the fact that there was another person sitting in on what you had assumed was a one-on-one meeting. The new arrival presented an unknown variable to your current situation, and that always set you on edge, especially so at a place that you knew was as anti-affected as Weston currently was.
The door, which had been open a crack already, swung open to reveal…
1) … Juli! It had completely slipped your daughter’s mind to tell you that she was supposed to be in this meeting as well. Juli takes the seat in front of Professor Larsen’s desk with a sheepish smile to you, telling you that she knew exactly what this meeting was about…
2) … Penelope Graham! Your worst nightmare had just come true as your eyes locked with the Demonic Dean of the college, who strolls into the room and crosses around the desk, standing next to professor Larsen with a smug grin on her face.
You are quickly informed by Penelope that Juli’s last exam had been cross referenced with the school’s database of work from previous students, and had been found to contain similar grammar and phrases to the work of a previous student… you!
They are accusing you of helping Juli cheat on one of her assessments, and no doubt Penelope intends to blackmail you if you want to avoid Juli being expelled!
