Liko had moved to Kanto to attend Indigo Academy, only doing so because her parents attended so long ago.
On her first day, the class were given their starter pokemon with her getting Sprigatito. She was then handed a temporary Trainer Licence in case she ever needed to leave Academy grounds. Despite what Liko wanted, Sprigatito proved hard to get along with.
She wouldn't let that stop her though, and worked hard on her studies as well as the bond with her partner. She felt like she might have been making progress when Sprigatito found and brought a pokéflute, but she was still proving difficult.
She was only there for a few months when, during spring break, a guy claiming to be sent by her grandma came for her. She knew almost immediately he was lying and made a run for it, which was when she was rescued by someone with a Charizard.
Not wanting to cause the Rising Volt Tacklers any trouble, she went to give herself up. Sprigatito didn't like that and got Liko to finally stand up for herself.
The next morning, she woke up surprisingly refreshed. "Morning Sprigatito." She said, giving her partner some attention.
The day didn't start off great as she accidentally scared Fuecoco, who then fell off the ship.
Upon landing, she insisted on helping find him due to feeling responsible.
She looked for a few hours before getting tired and sitting by a tree. Recalling that she scared Fuecoco when he was singing, she pulled out the pokéflute Sprigatito found.
Sprigatito looked at her a little confused. "Well, if he likes to sing, maybe he'll be drawn to the music." She put the flute to her lips and started playing.
She lost herself to the music, remembering all the times she played it when she was younger.
After a minute, she stopped playing and smiled at the memories.
"That was lovely."
Liko was startled by Roy, who became entranced by the music. Besides him was Fuecoco.
Roy said about how he found Fuecoco and looked for his trainer when he heard the music. "So I thought I'd see who was playing it. I didn't expect you to be so gorgeous."
Liko blushed, not expecting to get complimented like that.
