Chapter #4

A helping hand

    by: Andrea Author IconMail Icon
With an injured man to watch over and leading a faelan, the girl would have proved quite a sight to anyone watching. It was a pity she had not any old horse, or else she could have let the man ride the animal, but faelans were so notoriously difficult with strangers that it was easier to keep her steed under tight control. In this uncomfortable manner the two of them finally arrived back at the same gates that Dauphin had left some time earlier.

This time however the reactions were slightly warmer. Guards straightened on sight of them, and when identification was asked for in a much more respectful tone and provided the gates were opened.

"Welcome back captain," spoke one of the guards respectfully.

"Well, what are you waiting for girl? If you're coming in I'd be quick about it," said the injured man, pointing into the city.

The guards made no move to stop Dauphin as she moved through the gates,. Her entry had been approved by someone of much higher rank, so in return for lending a helping hand she now had entry to the city

You have the following choices:

1. Stay with the captain as he may still need help

2. Make your own way through the city
