Kevin was terrified. He couldn't understand how he had suddenly gone from a 5'9" human being to a small toad. His brain tried to refuse to accept it, but then another part of his brain warned him of the inevitable. Petsworld didn't sell toads, and if he sat in the aisle much longer he was destined to either be run over or cruely tortured by bored staff members.
Hopping as fast as his new legs would carry him Kevin proceeded in the direction the girl had departed in. However, it was a strange new world he was facing and nothing like the Petsworld he had once known.
"Aw... aren't you cute?"
Kevin felt the large sticky fingers closing around him at the same time as hearing the impossibly loud child like voice. Surely life couldn't be that cruel to him? But obviously it could as Kevin was now in the hands of a young child.
