Sir Robert decidió dejar atrás a su cobarde escudero y avanzar hacía el castillo donde estaba seguro de que llevaría a cabo una enorme hazaña. Espoleó a su fiel corcel y vió a lo lejos un enorme castillo, rodeado por una inexpugnable muralla detrás de la cual se alzaban majestuosas torres y esbeltos minaretes.

Sir Robert se sorprendió al no ver centinelas en lo alto de las murallas y al comprobar que el puente levadizo y el rastrillo estaban levantados.
