A Test?

         "You just picked the wrong guy to hassle, buddy."
         TZZAAPP!
         A beam of bright light hits him square in the chest. You grin, waiting for him to go flying back. Half a minute later, you're still waiting.
         Frowning, you concentrate harder. The beam widens and grows brighter, making an audible humming noise as it strengthens. The man still stands there, and you think you see a small grin on his face.
         "Rrrraaaaaagggghhh!" you scream as you focus your thoughts completely on using your powers. The beam widens still further, and it grows so bright that you can hardly stand to look at it. The humming noise becomes so loud that it hurts your ears. You notice that the air around you starts crackling, and a stray beam of energy arcs from your shoulder to a nearby fire escape.
         Finally, the man reacts. He staggers back, a look of disbelief on his face. He shouts "W...wait! It was only a test! STOP!"

You have the following choices:

1. Keep going

2. Stop blasting the man
