You stare. It's hard to anything else. You are painfully aware that there is NOTHING like this on Earth, so where the heck are you? Just then you see behind the... thing to the sky, the black sky. You had been so focussed on the creature you hadn't even noticed that it was night-time.
The sky is bright with stars and you can even make out the Milky Way. There can't be much artificial lighting nearby. That is when you pay attention to the stars themselves.
They aren't ones you recognise... any of them! No constellations seem familiar at all!

1. The creature interupts your musings.
