There was movement. More specifically animal movement. Human movement. I look up she's saying things. Her faces turns to an odd expression.
"Are you alright?"
Alright? Am I?
I look down at myself. I'm soaked right the way through. She's standing by a car. It's raining. All of this information seemed to appear out of nowhere, as though the world had just suddenly sprung into being around her-
Her what? It looked like her car had stalled.
"Close it." She looks at me with an expression as blank as the one on my own face a few moments before, "The bonnet? Before the rain gets in."
"Oh, right." She does, "Are you sure you're okay?"
After a moment I realise I've said something. What was it? What am I doing out here?
For some reason nothing seems quite real. I'm doing things, but at the same time I'm not-
Something touches my arm. It hurts and I flinch back.
"Do you have a name?"
Do I-? Oh, my name. Yes it's-
"Tarynn." I know my mistake as I say it. I hate that name. Hearing it sickens me.
But for the life of me I can't remember why.
