Chapter #7

A contact choice

With a sigh of true relief Matt let's go of the shoe as Sam takes another step, and then is blinded by the light as he is uncovered and released once more into the world. Looking around for a moment he comes to the quick conclusion that this is not one of the girl's houses, and that he has made a serious error. A quick glance at a glowing panel set just above him reveals that he was correct. He wasn't in one of the girls' houses, instead he was in the Wendy's just across from the lab.

"Oh man. This has got to be the worst day of my life," he tells himself, looking after the forms of the girls, which are already miles away, well really probably only a few feet if that, but to him it seemed like miles. He feels ready to just break down and cry. It wasn't supposed to be this way. All he was supposed to do was see if the formula worked, and then grow back and find some kind of market for it. Now here he was, less than an inch tall sitting on the floor of a fast food restaurant with nothing to look forward to but getting stepped on.

"No!" he cried, rallying his courage against the world. He wasn't just some bug, he was a genius. He invented something that was theoretically impossible, and he wasn't about to just lay down and die. That's not the kind of man, well boy he was. He would get noticed, or die trying. More than likely the latter, but at least he can say when he got to where ever it was dead people went that he at least tried to live.

Still looking around he realized how hard a task this was going to be. To those above him he was little more than a dot, smaller than a bug really. Yet he couldn't give up. There was always hope, even in the darkest of times. Looking around he saw the girls make their way to a table almost right next to where he was standing. He thought for a moment, and realized he might be better off trying to get in touch with a stranger than his sister or her friends. He was about an equal distance from the counter. So does he head for the girls or the counter?

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. The girls

2. The counter

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
