The fjords always seemed like the perfect getaway for hard-working types like yourself. Now you were here, and it couldn't have been more picture-esque if it tried. It was better than the guidebook had made it out to be!
You quickly find a spot to make camp, and pitch your tent. Let's just say that it looks a lot easier in the instructions. You fumble with the thing for a full 20 minutes before you finally set up camp...it would be perfect if one side of the tent wasn't lop-sided. You shrug it off, it's all part of the learning process, you think.
You take a brisk hike to get used to your surroundings. Not being used to such brisk air gives you a surprsing amount of energy. Hiking for nearly 5 miles, you stop to take a rest near a small cave and a cliff leading down into the water. Normally you're not adventurous, but you decide to explore the cave anyhow, taking a flashlight along for the trip. Other than a swarm of bats that flies out at you, it doesn't seem like anything out of the ordinary.
Venturing further in, you come upon a small wooden crate. It looked old, and very breakable. Merely kicking it raises the lid, which breaks off of its hinge. Inside, you find a small, glimmering pearl. Picking it up, it feels cool to the touch, if not a bit too cold for your tastes. You place it in your pocket, and begin walking towards the cave's entrance. You notice that the entrance looks bigger than usual. It dawns on you as the celing raises even higher. Did the cave just get bigger?
Nope, you've just gotten smaller. Much smaller. Three inches tall now, you head towards the entrance a bit more slowly now. When you get outside, you notice that a bear is closing in on the cave you just got out of. Heck of a way to start your relaxing vacation, now isn't it?
