"I've got to get away from them!" With that thought foremost in his head, the transformed teacher felt the most curious sensation on his back.
"My wings!" Ryan thought, amazed as the new appendages began to open and flap. Before he even realized what he was doing, the teacher-turned-bug launched himself into the air.
Although mortified by his transformation into insect form, Ryan felt oddly exhilarated as he flew through the air.
Almost convinced he could grow accustomed to flight, he looked down and saw his students, Jeremy and Nathan, standing below.
He also saw something else.
"Oh no!" Ryan thought and tried to veer away from the enormous youngsters.
A second later he collided with a wall of sheer fabric and tumbled into a deep tunnel.
He heard the animated conversation pass between Jeremy and Ryan.
"I got it!" Jeremy said proudly.
"Way to go!" Nathan said.
Stuck in the net, the little bug attempted to dislodge itself from the fine mesh. Jeremy gave the net a vigorous shake and watched the strange insect tumble to the bottom of the deep net.
