Removal of the shirts

Pete takes a deep breath to relax himself - the action straining his tight t-shirt even further - then heads outside. Looking right at the neighbor guy, he remains perfectly calm as he grabs the hem of his t-shirt with both hands and slowly pulls the t-shirt up and over his head - revealing in one heady moment the mammoth, nearly indecent ring of belly lard, the product of a decade of indulgent eating. His dad, his enabler, calls Pete's obese equator his 'Love Handles'. Pete, maintaining his cool, grabs his roll of fat with both hands and starts vigorously shaking it.
The new guy pretends at first that he doesn't notice Pete's fat revelation, then suddenly he sneers in Pete's direction. He then peels his own shirt off, revealing magazine-calibre six pack abs. Pete drops his head and admires down at his own glorious midriff - knowing that the other guy will assume that he's hanging his head in shame.
"Not so proud of yours, are you now?" says the new guy. "I tell you what. I'll give you a challenge. You lose 20 pounds in the next two months and I'll promise you girls like you've never seen them before. So what do you say?"
