I am reviewing your Dear Me letter as one of the judges for "Dear Me: Official WDC Contest" . Thanks for entering! What does hoovsie think about while perusing your item? I enjoyed the sly humor at the start as you are trying to resolve to do negative things because of failures with positive resolutions in the past. That tickled me. On a serious note, previous year medical demands and expenses intervened in your plans. I know that has happened to me and I bet it has derailed the plans of a lot of people. Many will identify with that situation. Most, I'd say. You have done well in 2020 and seen its blessings for your life and that is a wonderful thing. Some of us don't see blessings until they are in our rear view mirror. They were there and good for you for recognizing it and seizing the day when you could.   My criteria for judging Dear Me letters is about what I find memorable and interesting. It may not agree with anyone else's judgment. I also enjoy a sense of humor or something that touches me personally. That is to give you an idea of where I'm coming from in the whole judging realm. No expert on keeping my own New Year's Resolutions, I didn't even try to think of any this year. So, I'm also looking to be inspired with my own plans for the year, but am too anxious to organize them. I admire you for all the thought and effort you put into this. What does hooves moo and applaud about while reading your item? Your Happiness Box Project is ongoing and very positive. As you indicate, being resilient is a key to success. Dealing with anxiety by writing is also something that may be of great help. You have the gift of expression so you use it to reason your way out of issues that may arise. We all face things that challenge us and this seems like a good strategy. Dealing with naysayers by dismissing them is healthy. We all have them. As you indicate, forgiving ourselves can be the toughest thing of all. You are well on your journey to peace and self forgiveness. This part stays with me: "Regardless of the rain this year, I hope you have your best dancing shoes on and can dance along with the symphonies as the rain comes pitter-pattering down." Brilliant!
