I am reviewing your Dear Me letter as one of the judges for "Dear Me: Official WDC Contest" . Thanks for entering! What does hoovsie think about while perusing your item? You launch right into some admirable goals that will help you attain the lifestyle you aspire to. I like how you have a fallback position to that at the end in case a year doesn't present enough time. You certainly seem to have done your research and it's clear that setting up and maintaining a romance writing website ties in nicely to your day job and experience. In other words, this is quite realistic for you and you show the reader (me, in this case) why.   My criteria for judging Dear Me letters is about what I find memorable and interesting. It may not agree with anyone else's judgment. I also enjoy a sense of humor or something that touches me personally. Of course, unicorns always bring a nod and a smile. That is to give you an idea of where I'm coming from in the whole judging realm. No expert on keeping my own New Year's Resolutions, I didn't even try to think of any this year. So, I'm also looking to be inspired with my own plans for the year. I admire you for all the thought and effort, networking and research that you put into this. What does hooves moo and applaud about while reading your item? My favorite part is the name you selected, The Romance Bloke. How perfect is that. I think The Romance Guy comes off as a little arrogant and off putting. Romance Bloke says you are earnest and trying and not thinking you are all that and whatever. Well done because I think that the name is such an important element. You obviously have what it takes to put in the work and the time. It's good, also, that you put some of the basics in place in 2020. It shows that lots of planning has gone on. Writing your own romance efforts ties in well to networking with other romance authors. Most authors are big readers. To me, the fact that you have such a knowledgeable and talented mentor is key, too. You seem like you are well on your way and this is a brilliant strategy to create a presence and get to where you want to be eventually. All of it frightens me, but you will make a lot of friends and contacts and who knows where this will lead you. Brilliant and well done, the sky is the limit.  HOOVES, a.k.a.
