The Editors [13+] Is someone out to get you? Maybe. Read on and decide for yourself. |
HAPPY WDC ACCOUNT ANNIVERSARY FROM "Anniversary Reviews" First Impressions: I’ll keep it light, I promise! What a terrifying prospect to write that masterpiece and then getting bumped off because it is too epic. The writer here (we never actually got to meet him, not properly, anyway) was unlucky enough to write something that was just too good, and he paid the price for it. I liked the format of this story. It was unique in the way each part was written from the point of view of a different character who then wasn’t mentioned again. The readers managed to piece together the whole story from each segment, and at the end, they got told by ‘The Editors’ themselves. Suggestions: I noticed a couple of small errors: This, this Promethean gift, cannot be allowed the people. There seemed to be a word missing but I wasn’t sure which one. “allowed to the people”, maybe? It doesn’t sound quite right but I’m not sure how to fix it. Get's you the scoop You don’t need the apostrophe in “Gets”. I would also suggest making the font a little bigger - the default one is quite hard to read on a screen. Final Thoughts: The part where the assassin reviews the writer’s work had me laughing out loud. It’s the kind of exaggerated review that you sometimes find on the back of a book cover or in a review column, and it was hilarious because it was so over the top. I also enjoyed the description of the Sugar coated crap the editors were happy to allow because it was mediocre and couldn’t cause any harm. This was a great satire, and I enjoyed the read! My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Get CASH!" .
