Form, Rhythm, Cadence, and Style:You've chosen a very freeform structure that tiptoes along stream-of-consciousness. The uneven lines feel spontaneous (adding to the stream-of-consciousness vibe), and the rhymes are playful. However, a bit more structural consistency could help readers identify with the poem a bit more and you wouldn't lose any of the poem's charm. Content:The casual, conversational style makes for a light-hearted poem despite the speaker's sticky situation. However, the loss of a writer's prized communication device is underneath that self-deprecating humor, which gives the poem a little weight. Grammar and Mechanics:false piece of mind --> false peace of mind Final Thoughts:This is a funny and relatable snapshot of everyday life, and I'm sure it will resonate with many readers.
