Dropnotes

Dropnotes are fun little tools for your pages, whether you're entering something or hosting a contest or activity.
The most common way I've seen dropnotes used in contest entries, is to put an explanation in the story for a reader, without being a distraction from the content. It could give some background to the story, or in most cases, have a link to the contest for which it was written. This keeps readers from clicking the contest link and wandering away without reading your story!

In contests, I suggest using dropnotes within the page to hide the list of rules if they're long. Also it can be used to list previous winners, donors, or list the judges. It helps keep the page tidy and people will still click the dropnote because the arrow indicates something is there. Or, you can write in the title "Click for previous winners!"

The tag syntax for the function is {dropnote:"TITLE"} ... {/dropnote}, putting the text you want to show as TITLE, and the content where the ellipses show. Once you use the feature, you'll find all kinds of reasons to use the Dropnote.

Give it a try!
