About This Newsletter

Writing is very general. All types of authors exist, everywhere. W.Com has writers that range from professional to beginners. We write non-fiction, fiction, poetry, articles, and sometimes even some garbage.

The past two weeks have been difficult for me. I cannot stand to sit (stand to sit, funny, huh) at the computer for very long at a time, or I become extremely dizzy and can't see. Now, wait a minute, I heard that. No, I am NOT dizzy all the time. Shame on you.

Next week's editor will be darkin

Thank you for the feedback. Under the circumstances, I'm not able to answer each comment individually, but I appreciate each one.

This was more helpful than could possibly imagine. Priceless information... thanks.

Thanks, Viv. You're right that writers should be in writer's groups...and that they should be in the right group. Incurable Romantic (64) jwilliamson and I joined one not long after we were married. I was totally turned off from the beginning. It was a new group (or an old one being reorganized) and the self-appointed organizer had just recently finished her master's degree in creative writing. She was quite an organizer and she wanted rules, rules, rules and more rules. Jim was comfortable with the group, but I needed a more laid back approach. I still have the thick packet of information about how to critique, and it is good information. But I would much prefer a group where each writer can bring a few pages for everyone to critique than one where one writer is critiqued by the entire group...and they are to take hours each day for two weeks to do so. Yikes.
