** Image ID #1219544 Unavailable ** ~ March Madness! ~ ** Image ID #1219544 Unavailable **
March has not been a good month for me this year. Though it was my birthday on the 8th, and I've recently learned I'm expecting to have two first-time grandsons at the end of July , the rest has been hectic. I feel overwhelmed and exhausted. I'm rushing around at the last minute to get things done. Sleep is not cooperating, and I'm growing impatient with my staff at work, which is not like me at all. I'm probably the easiest person in the world to work for. I find myself crying over silly things and am tired all the time. I'm overworking myself at my job, and underworking myself at home. The weather has been all but crap, except for a few nice days (it's snowing as I type). Yes, I feel I'm going mad with March! Shall I go on? Well, I'm sure you get the message, so I won't continue to bore you with the details.
Perhaps many of you have not experienced this type of anxiety. The restlessness of Winter and the hesitation of Spring can bring many of us down. Cabin Fever. Spring Fever. Whatever else it's been called, I'm naming it March Madness this year. And when Spring finally does make its glorious entrance, I'll be sure to shed this heavy gloom and make way for happier days!
In the meanwhile, I'm squeezing in some writing time. High-strung emotion in me usually stirs my imagination into writing some decent stuff, which is a great outlet at this time of year. If you are going through hard times, whether it's depression or anxiety, restlessness or whatever, try writing. Perhaps some of this March Madness might produce something constructive. Either way, it's great therapy!
As always,
Have fun...
and
Happy Writing!

Last month's question:
How do you keep your life balanced, if in fact you do? I would love to receive any tips and/or advice that might benefit those of us who live in chaos.

Great Job! I'm new and am amazed at how much I like WDC.

Thank you! And welcome to the site!

I must admit, I'm not doing that great a job of keeping my life balanced. I have school to contend with, my daughters to care for, my mother to look after, and my dog that seems to always want to go out for a potty break. I do find that using my daily planner does help and asking my daughters to pitch in more. I never use to ask for help, but I'm learning that I can alleviate some of my stress if I just ask for help.
It's hard for me to ask for help, too. I hate to put anyone out. A few years ago, my husband took over the dishes if I was in charge of the laundry. With both of us working full-time, that really helped me out a lot. But sometimes when he's doing dishes and I'm practicing my fiddle, I feel guilty!

Wonderful job with this newsletter, Cubby! It makes me so nostalgic and a part of me wishes I could be a newbie again! Excellent job!
Thanks, Kiya! You are always so kind. Glad you are part of the community!

Hello Cubby, How do I keep balanced? I don't watch much tv anymore. I read more in the bathroom than on the couch. And I get up at 3:30a.m. to write. Without my books and alone time, I think I would succumb to the madness.
Wow, that sounds so much like me! I, too, get up at those wee hours of the morning. Recently, however, I've been putting in extra hours at work, and using my WDC time for library matters (my real job). I hope to catch up soon so I can get back on task here.

Chaos---hmmm. Routine around here. There is so much to do and never enough time. I often let things slide--usually housework or sleep--or both! I second the request. Any ideas! I've yet to find a 'schedule' that works!
I read erotic love scenes when they are part of the story, part of the scheme of things. If you read the story and it would not change if the love scene isn't there, it didn't need to be there. Now there's chaos!
Housework definitely slides somewhat in my home, too. Sleep? Geesh, if I ever get close to 8 hours, I feel like I overslept. Last night I got 1 1/2. That's a little extreme, but something was bothering me so I couldn't sleep. I hate that when that happens!
