About This Newsletter

With spring comes better improving weather for going outdoors and enjoying the activities which can only be fully appreciated with the warmer weather. When this happens we often spend less time on our favorite writing site, due to time constraints. There never seems to be enough time in the day to accomplish all we wish to do.

If your writing is suffering due to the warmer weather, using the blog function to record quick entries on your day, can serve to be useful for those rainy days when there is more time for writing. You can go back through your blog and take shorter entries to use for contest entries, or to even simply expand on that days writing. Using the blog as a quick reference guide makes it easy to call up days events.

Letter from the editor

*Butterflyg* Spring is here in full bloom, with sister, Summer, soon coming around the corner. Many of us are being drawn outdoors more to enjoy the weather and activities associated with these warmer seasons. When this happen there is a noticeable drop in participants all around the site. One way to make sure you are dropping in each day is to keep a blog of the days events.

*Butterflyb*Taking a moment each evening to jot down a few of the days events so they can be referenced at a later date can be beneficial for future writings. A quick place to help with this task is a blog. By creating a blog, and jotting down quick references to the day, you can later run back through the blog and pull bits and pieces out for using in stories, or for contest entry ideas.

*Butterflyr*Blogs can be set to private, so if you wish to keep these thoughts to yourself, there is an easy solution. Nobody needs to see these quick entries, so the private setting is for you. However some use the blog for updating friends, family and the general public as to how they are doing, so for them this setting isn't needed, however individual entries can be set to private to adjust for certain occasions where not everyone needs to see the thoughts of the day.

*Butterflyo*Blog entries can be short or long. They can be personal, or for everyone. Blogging can be much like a journal, or it can be a book or novel. Each blog is customized by the author and so each is unique in its own way.

*Butterflyv*In summery, take a moment each day to leave a quick blog entry, if for no other reason than to be logging in each day so that we, your friends, can see you are doing fine.
