We have seen this group rise from the seeds of inspiration, and climb among the vines of activities featured around the site. Witnessing the growth of this flourishing activity, sponsored by I.N.K.E.D, many stand back along the path to watch this vine from afar. Let us take a look at the inner workings of this "Invalid Item" and what its purpose is.
Venue for Inspiring Newcomers through Encouragement.
Welcoming newcomers to the sight, this group sends out notebook posts, as well as cnotes and reviews, displaying a warm introduction from the community that makes up Writing.com.
Wanting to see this live in action, I thought I would take a few moments and participate to see this for myself. What I thought was a few moments anyway. Before I knew it, I was fast addicted to spreading welcoming encouragement to newcomers through the methods in "Invalid Item" . I could have just spent a moment or two, but I found this activity so fun and self-fulfilling that I didn't want to stop, even to write my newsletter. In fact, I took several breaks away to send out more.
Once you have found someone new, you will want to go to their notebook, and leave them a warm and welcoming message. Then, send them a cnote. By doing these two items, you have displayed two interesting aspects of the site, the notebook and cnotes, simultaneously opening the door for communication. Wanting to go the extra mile, if the person has an item already in their port, you can give them some of their first feedback through a review.
Now you can do all of this on your own, but if you do it through "Invalid Item" , and post in the forum your deeds from the day, you will be rewarded Gps for your deeds, while joining like minded individuals who share a common goal.
Drop in on someone new to this community. Leave them a notebook scribble, send them an email or a cnote, and offer a review if you can. Take an example from "Invalid Item" ! |

Some responses from past newsletters:
Matt Bird MSci (Hons) AMRSC Great newsletter. I really enjoy auctions, but don't bother with ones who's rules are ambiguous. "Invalid Item" is a service for all item types, including auctions, where you can get feedback on your main page and sort out any mistakes or ambiguity.
JACE Absolutely fabulous newsletter, Miss J. Lots of great info for folks interested in running an auction. I'll have to remember this NL. |
