Letter from the editor

β€œIt is important that when we make a resolution, or establish a goal, that we take the ACTION necessary to accomplish that goal.”
― Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free

There are many different types of contests to choose from here and I'd love to hear from anyone on which contests interest them and what you're looking for that you just can't find. What inspires you to write for a contest? The new year is about to pop and that means writing goals will be flooding through your mind. You'll need inspiration, so where will you find it? Goals and resolutions are coming folks. The new year will bring new contests, new writing challenges and of course, the Dear Me contest that the site runs every year. Are you ready? Will you be able to find the inspiration needed to write that best seller or maybe even just a moderate seller? *Pthb*

To help you reach those goals, I'd like to continue where we left off last month.

Last month I asked what prompts inspire you. By the way, here are the results from the poll:

But there are other things about contests and writing challenges that might be interesting to ask as well. For me, it is more about the prompt inspiring me but prizes are important, especially if you're saving for a membership or other item.I've had contests where the winner has asked to have their prize exchanged into gift points which is usually fine. When you look at a challenge, do the prizes play a big part in your decision to participate? Write in and let me know what your thoughts - is it a 50/50 decision based on prompt and prizes or does one not matter as much to you?

Write in and tell me your thoughts and I'll reward you! *Heart*

Thanks for letting me into your inbox! Write and Review on! ~ Brooke

Ask & Answer

I received some wonderful feedback to my last newsletter [#9220] "Prompt PaloozaOpen in new Window. and I'm proud to share it with you.

From Warped Sanity Author Icon
Interesting newsletter. This made me reflect back to my own hosted contests. When given more than one prompt to choose from, I have noticed more tend to utilize the prompt that is more general.

I agree completely. I personally like a more challenging prompt that makes me get more creative. Thanks for writing in!
