Week Of Healing

Monday just wasn't the usual same
as you said we were through this time.
I tried my best not to shout;
knowing that you're no longer mine.

Tuesday seemed to only get worse.
I cried the whole day away.
My eyes burned and streaked with tears
while my heart yearned for you to stay.

Wednesday my tears had all ran out
and my energy was gone from sobbing.
I spent most of my time on my bed
trying my hardest in forgetting.

Thursday I took a long needed walk;
already your face had faded.
My mind was no longer completely weighed down
with memories that we've created.

Friday I knew I was getting better.
My heart was healing for good.
You're finally gone from my life.
Everything will soon be as it should.
