DREAMS
You can go anywhere, be anyone, wear anything you desire in a dream.
HER STORY
She is a widowed mother of two teenage daughters. They have grown apart due to their father’s death. The daughters not only lost their father but they lost their mother during that time due to grief. She had to find a way to pick up the pieces and go on. She started working and now works extensive hours that leave her little to no time with her daughters. They resent her job and her devotion to her work. They don’t, of course, understand that she is working so hard to take care of them and give them what they need and desire.
She is lonely, unhappy, overworked, and wants nothing more than to have a happy life again. She longs to hear the laughter again. She longs for change. She has finally come out of her grief and now sees all that needs to be changed and starts making the attempts at bringing her family back together again as she fights with her daughters’ anger and grief. She finds the peace and security she’s longing for in her dreams. That’s where she meets him.
"She looked around and was drawn to the back of the room where a gentleman stood with his back to the balcony doors. Their eyes connected making it impossible for either of them to look away."
HIS STORY
"He didn’t know why, just that he had to be standing in front of the balcony doors. He made his way across the crowded dance floor to the back of the ballroom and turned just as the ballroom doors opened. He watched and waited. He didn’t realize he was holding his breath until he saw her."
THEIR STORY
"He turned just as the ballroom doors opened and wonders, is she going to really be there?"
"She steps inside the double doors and looks around and wonders, is he going to really be there?"
"Or was it all just a dream?"
**Please Note** This was started with no intentions of making it into a book. Simply ideas. It snowballed into what it is. There are no names for the first 11 chapters simply because I didn't know what their names would be. There is no outline, character profiles, nothing. This was written as the ideas came. The chapters are short, but they worked when I wrote it and I hate to change it simply because of standards. I want to know how it will turn out first before rearrange the chapters.
Remember -- Dreams are and can be so many different things. I wrote this listening to Crystal Gayle's "When I Dream" I would recommend listening to the words...you can be anything you want to be, go anywhere you want to go, live any life you want to live....in a Dream.
