In Need of Translations

Several escaped dialects, curious and mournful, have filled this air.
Just a moment ago, it was stagnant.

It is better, I think, not to measure the spaces in between.

Instead, we should let it settle, into a mass of human thought and knowledge -- insoluble by anything but time and tenacity.

But then, most things, are they not such?

We are in need of translations
not of the language
but of the medium -- as this is how we identify ourselves, in the midst of others.
