A change of pace poem about young love and the difficulties it comes with |
| Change of Heart People always told me you won't know what you have until you've lost it. I took the advice into account, took every precautionary measure, made sure losing you wasn't an option. I changed for the better when I never thought that was possible. I realized a love that was true. And then the unthinkable happened. You changed too. You became me and I became you. You stopped caring while my feelings grew. Your frostbitten heart turned black. Mine shattered into blue. And so, I must ask this. A truthful answer is only fair. What if I don't wake up tomorrow? How would you handle the despair? Would you show any signs of sorrow? Would you even care? |
