This is a poem I wrote in 7th grade...my first try |
| Poets learn how to be an influence To our future generations, a pleasance They teach us simple rhymes According to the New York Times And life lessons Like not to be a peasant The works of poets Are full of secrets They learn to be eloquent So much to start a movement Sometimes they make you sing, They keep you guessing Poets are brilliant They won’t even get pregnant They are very smart They are better than Mozart My mom would be proud, That I am allowed to make a poem this loud So the work of poets Are like garnets, Perfect for ballots |
