Poetry

Ah, poetry. An outlet unlike any other, full of pure passion and beautiful language. Well, hopefully. I'm not sure I've got it in me to be a poet, but that won't stop me from writing all the time.

I have divided this folder into six sections, categorizing my poetry into different subjects. Sure, sometimes I've got a mixture of the two, but I think it makes the place look a lot better if I divide them up.

Personal

A catch-all of poetry that has me thinking or feeling. This is what a lot of my poetry is about, but this is a broader category. You'll find anything from my thoughts on dreams to my relgious struggles.

Friendship

For reasons that are very close to me, friendship means a lot to me. It's something I went without for a part of my life. My friends mean as much to me as my family. In this folder, you'll find my thoughts about friendship itself and poems about events or feelings towards friends.

Love

I'm not sure I know what love is, or if I've ever been in love. Still, this folder is about my passions and desires. Though I have little experience in the field, the feelings are as real as any other.

Writing

My writings about writing! This folder is newer, and smaller than the previous three. When I feel like writing about writing, I didn't feel it really went with any of the other folders.

Nature

Though an older folder, this one is about as small as the writing folder. These are my poems about the world around me. Though I am often inspired by nature, I do not often get these feelings into words, and so the folder remains relatively small.

Lyrics

A while ago, I joined a ska band. I was asked to write some lyrics, and so I have made the attempt. Though my newest poetry folder, it grows quickly. I am not entirely sure I like any of the lyrics I've written, and these are not my deepest works. Still, I think there's some gold in there somewhere!
