Secrets


We hide them from those around
locked deep inside to be forgotten;
creating a home in our cozy minds.

Owned by every breathing soul
not one to be left alone
screaming to and from they settle.

In the mind and thoughts throughout
our daily words and doings,
their homes inside catch fire.

Burning and searing our tender
sanity, they become the soot
and ashes of our truth.

Devouring the spirit and entangled,
they become in content,
reaping the seams of our fragile hearts.
