Life Would Be

I sometimes wonder what it's like
to feel wanted,
to be loved with no strings attached.
What it is
to be told you can do anything
and have no expectations,
no hidden requirements
no unspoken undertones.
What's life like
when you don't feel like a failure?
How nice would it be
without arguments, without insults,
without the nagging question
"would they be better off without me?"
No pretenses,
no misleading,
no misunderstanding,
just openness and honesty,
just trust, and love,
a life worth living.
How much better would that world,
that life be
than the one I'm in?
